Phenylbutazone+Dexamethasone
DECLARATION OF THE ACTIVE SUBSTANCE AND OTHER INGREDIENTS
Artrivet Forte anti-inflammatory and analgesic solution for injection.
Composition: Phenylbutazone 200 mg; Dexamethasone 0.25 mg; Excipients q.s. 1 ml.
The association of dexamethasone with phenylbuatazone provides an anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect.
INDICATIONS
Treatment of primary diseases of the musculoskeletal system. Secondary adjuvant of infectious arthritis.
Treatment for inflammatory processes in osteopathies, adenopathies, neumopathy, mastitis, to control the associated congestive and painful symptoms.
SPECIES
Dogs, cats and horses.
ADMINISTRATION
To be administered intramuscularly or intravenously.
DOSAGE AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Adult horses: 30 ml. on the first day, 20 ml. on the second day, and then 10 ml. per day for a period of 4-6 days.
Manji: 10 ml. on the first day and then 5 ml. per day for a period of 4-6 days.
Dogs and cats: 1 ml./15 kg. live weight for a period of 5 days.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Do not administer to animals with degenerative eye diseases, cardiac and terminal phases of nephritis, diabetes, infectious hepatitis in dogs, chronic diseases with irreversible changes in tissues and females in the last period of gestation.
SIDE EFFECTS
Occasionally, thrombocytopenia and agranulocytosis may occur; Stop treatment in such situations.
OVERDOSE
Overdosing can produce leukopenia, excitability and convulsions. Symptomatic treatment is recommended.
Do not administer to horses whose meat is intended for human consumption.
STORAGE
Store in a dry and cool place, protected from light.
