POSOLOGY FOR EACH SPECIES, ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION AND MODE OF ADMINISTRATION:
It is given orally in the following doses, depending on the type of parasite:
- 10 mg albendazole /kg body weight /day, (1 tablet/ 5 kg g.c./day) in gastrointestinal nematode infestation (Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina, Ancylostoma spp., Uncinaria spp.), cestode (Dipylidium caninum) and trematode (Paragonimus kellicotti), for 1-3 consecutive days.
- 25 mg albendazole /kg body weight /day (1 tablet/ 2 kg g.c./day) in the infestation with Trichocephalus spp., for 2 consecutive days.
In order to ensure proper dosing, the body weight of the animals should be determined as precisely as possible in order to avoid underdosing.
RECOMMENDATIONS ON CORRECT ADMINISTRATION:
